Welcome to our guide to concessionary tickets. Hopefully you will find all the information you need below. However if you require any help then give us a call on: 01226 205 800.
Concessionary passes are available from your local (district) authority and will normally entitle you to FREE travel on all buses across England after 9.30am until 11pm on week days and all day at weekends and on bank holidays. However South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive passes commence earlier from 9am, within South Yorkshire only and run until the end of service.
The time at which you can travel is dependent on the district in which you are tarvelling and NOT that of the council who issued your pass. When travelling simply show your Concessionary Pass to the driver, each time you board a bus, and he/she will issue you with a free ticket to travel.
Please see below for our frequently asked questions or contact your district council if you require further information.
When may I use my concessionary travel permit for free travel?

West Yorkshire - 9.30am until the end of service.
Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays:

Do I get priority over other passengers?
Sorry, no you do not. All passengers will be required to queue for the bus in the normal way.
Will Tates Travel issue me a ticket when I travel?
Each time you board a Tates Travel bus, the driver will issue you with a ticket. We are doing this so that we may be properly reimbursed for the journeys you make with us. It will also help us to see which are the most popular journeys so that we can use the right size buses. If you travel on any of our services and are not issued or issued with an incorrect ticket, please contact our customer service office.
Please ensure that you show the driver your pass each time you board a bus.
